Riding and Road Rules

  • Know and follow road rules in area

  • Proper foot placement

  • Do not carry items when riding

  • Do not ride with one hand

  • Do not ride with two people

  • Do not ride in the rain

  • Do not ride on slippery surfaces

  • Be aware of your surroundings

  • Scan ahead for uneven surfaces

  • Watch for small branches

  • Watch for stones, gravel, debris

  • Do not enter driveways on angle

  • Learn proper maneuvering 

  • Learn correct braking techniques

  • Do not speed excessively

  • Follow and know road rules

  • Monitor and watch cars, people, pets, objects

  • Relax legs while riding and bend knees slightly​
